Galway Auction Rooms

  • Important Note: All items must be paid for and removed by Friday at 1pm. After this date storage charges will apply.

  • Final Important note: The Auctioneers auction approximately 110 lots per hour. To give you an example of what time say lot 330 will come up, that would be three hours after 10.30am. Therefore lot 330 should sell at approximately 1.30pm. Or if you are interested in lot 550 this lot should sell at approximately 3.30pm and so on. This system of selling gives you a reasonable accurate time in which to expect your item to sell. If you do have to leave the auction a phone call to either of the above mobile phone lines may enable you to bid by phone for the lot in case you do not get back in time or you may give a commission bid at the reception before you leave.

  • Commission Bidding explained: When leaving a commission bid it is advisable to leave a bid somewhere around the estimated figure, however items will be bought both above and below the official estimates. The Auctioneers will endeavor to buy the lot for you for as little as possible on your behalf. Therefore we suggest you leave a bid for as much as you like and we will try to buy it for you under that bid if possible. To summarize bid the highest figure on the commission bid form and the Auctioneers will try to buy the lot for you below your top figure.

  • Commission and Telephone bids will be accepted during viewing times. All telephone and commission bids must be in by 9.30am day of sale. No responsibility will be accepted by the Auctioneers for late telephone or commission bids, however every effort will be made to ensure they get through to the auctioneers.
