637. A superb inlaid mahogany secretary bookcase by an exceptional cabinet making company Edwards & Roberts. The glazed doors each divided into eight separate sections with moulded glazing bars. The surrounds inlaid and cross banded in satinwood, each with trailing tulip bells below. A moulded cornice with a marquetry panel of floral swags. The base with a drop front drawers to reveal a fitted interior with ten satinwood drawers with turned ivory or bone handles centered by five pigeon poles and a tooled leather inset. The front with a marquetry panel of musical instruments with floral splays. Adams urns trailing on graduated drawers until it meets its well carved lion paw feet.
