  720. A magnificent and rare inlaid and marquetry display cabinet/bookcase, the central section with delicately carved rosettes centred by quality inlaid Adams urns, flanked by bowed compartments, themselves divided by cross banded satinwood bands and a marquetry panel overhead. The base with frame mahogany panelled doors and inset drawers with gilt metal ring handles, the entire reting on carved and inlaid tapering legs. The most interresting aspect to this cabinet is that its design while traditional for its perios incorporates a radical new design thought, as you will observe on inspection the central upper section could not be traditional in design, yet the lower central section is a combination of an earlier design but has modifications which appear much earlier in furniture. (Auctioneers Note: The cabinet maker that made this cabinet is the Picasso of all cabinet makers, not only did he source the most expensive materials possible he hand picked the best of the best from those materials. He then dedicated his huge talent that he processed in his hand to the crafting of this most intricate and fine quality cabinet, but before he even set out to do that he produced a revolutionary design in his time not following precedents that were set down by other fine cabinet makers at the time. He incorporated conflicting design alien to most other cabinet makers and made them work in a superb manner, unidentified as he is he was on the cusp of a revolution within his own industry setting new standard and designing other to follow.
