500. A rare and exceptional Irish Killarney wood Davenport. The entire inlaid with shamrocks, eagles, red deer and scenes from the Killarney Muckross Estate. Early Victorian. (Auctioneers note. Nowadays it is the exception to find large pieces of Killarney wood furniture. Most pieces are in private collections or owned by the state. Muckross House probably has the greatest collection which can be viewed by the public) Est €12000~16000
502. Exceptionally rare bacon settle, this carved oak settle with a bacon larder above was used to store dried meat in the 18th century, which of course was kept inside the dwelling. While the larder is definitely 18th century, the settle may be a little later or was rebuild in the 19th century. The official description is therefore rare 18th century bacon settle with later adjustments. Few bacon settles have even been recorded never mind seen and I believe it is very unlikely that there is another one in Ireland Est €2500~4000
