This
auction is the result of the disposal of four densely furnished
estates from Busy Park Galway, Clonlara Co Limerick, Athenry Co
Galway and Ennis Co Clare and the contents of a private Law library.
At the time of going to press we are still at work sorting through
this our most varied and interesting Auction yet. Every aspect
of antique furniture and effects are included from a Killarney
davenport, to Waterford crystal chandeliers, Belleek China to
Irish & English silver. Numerous good boxed lots to a baby grand
piano and upright pianos, partner's desks, card & tea tables.
Bedroom chairs, chests, grandfather wall and mantle clocks. Books
of Galway interest, boxes of assorted books. Dining and breakfast
tables, display cabinets, sewing tables, hall stands, armchairs,
hall and dining chairs, club fenders, fire fenders. Victorian
paintings and prints, antique pistol and bayonets, Persian rugs
and kilms. Staffordshire figures, bookcases, chests, lockers,
gilt mirrors, wardrobes, coins, oil lamps, garden furniture including
cast iron planters set of four, garden tables, seats, pumps, garden
tiller, troughs, hall stands, sun dials. Serving table, take my
word for it everything you could want is in the auction. On top
of all this there is over 200 lots of household furniture and
effects including gas cooker, washing machine, garden tiller and
streamer, chairs, cabinets, mirrors etc etc, if you are fitting
out apartments this is the section for you. Contemporary Irish
Art over 40 lots, by Markey Robinson, Lorna Millar, Declan Marry,
Sam McCarnon, Tom Climent, Ivan Sutton, Mary Fedden, Carol Ann
Waldron, Aidan Bradley, Eoin Hayes, Frank Fitzsimmons, John Morris,
J.P. Rooney, Marie Carroll, James Downie, Majorie Wilsn, Sam McLarnon,
Michelle Carlin, T.C. Murphy, Pat Walsh etc. We have extended
the viewing time for this auction and I would urge you to consider
coming on Friday and Saturday as crowds on Sunday are continually
rising making it difficult to view the auction properly. There
are a lot of small lots in boxes under tables and in cabinets
which would be easy to miss on Sunday and nobody wants to miss
a bargin. As Gay Byrne said there is one for everyone in the audience.
